The very first Stavros Niarchos Foundation Centre for Hellenic Studies email newsletter is hitting inboxes this morning. We're hoping to do these three times a year - at the end of every semester - to give our supporters a recap of everything that's happened over the past few months and to provide a sneak peak of what’s just around the corner. Don't worry, this won't replace our annual publication, the Agora. This is just a little something extra to keep you going until it hits the shelves.

A lot has happened so far this year. We had a great conference on the cult of the Virgin Mary in October, which featured a keynote lecture by Dr. Niki Tsironis from the Institute of Historical Research at the National Hellenic Research Foundation in Athens, Greece. In November we launched our new website, with a new modern look and feel. And just last week, we announced the return of our regular seminar series. You can read about all this and more in the news round-up below.

Also below, you can find a list of some of our upcoming events, including the next info session for our joint SFU / Douglas College Greece Field School. We’re also planning an announcement soon on the next Edward and Emily McWhinney Memorial Lecture for early April – so stay tuned.

Lastly, we're updating our contact lists, so please be sure to sign up for future updates if you haven't already.

We look forward to seeing all of you in the New Year!
