Accessibility, and accessibility of Greece’s history and culture is central to the mandate of the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Centre for Hellenic Studies; no one should miss out on an opportunity to experience Hellenism because of lack of funds. That’s why the SNF Centre for Hellenic Studies at SFU is creating twenty $250 grants to help students participate in the 2020 Greece Field School.

Students are considered automatically as part of the application process to the field school and everyone who is accepted into the field school will receive a grant towards the cost of the program (some conditions apply*). Anyone who has already applied, will also be considered as part of this initiative.

So, drop by an info session or one of our kiosks this month to learn more about this fantastic opportunity to travel and immerse yourself in the culture of Homer, Aristophanes, and Kazantzakis. Deadline to apply is January 31, 2020.

*Grants are open to all undergraduate students at Simon Fraser University and Douglas College; visiting students from other universities will be considered on a case-by-case basis. Grants will be applied directly against the total program fees and are non-refundable. Students must remain in good academic standing and remain enrolled in the Greece 2020 Field School program to receive the grant.
