Greek language learning platform Staellinika now available in Spanish and Portuguese

November 03, 2022

Staellinika, the Greek language learning platform and series of apps created for preschool-aged children to young adults in the Greek diaspora, is readily expanding its numbers of users. Developed by the Greek Foreign Ministry’s General Secretariat of Greeks Abroad and Public Diplomacy, in collaboration with SNF Centre for Hellenic Studies at SFU, and supported by the Stavros Niarchos Foundation (SNF), Staellinika recently launched versions in Spanish and Brazilian Portuguese, making it accessible to students in South America looking to learn about Greece's rich history, culture and language.

Greek diaspora children in South America can access the platform's full breadth of educational resources in their native language, including four courses targeting beginner learners.

The launch of the platform’s Spanish and Portuguese versions took place in Montevideo, Uruguay, during the South America Clergy-Laity Congress 2022, and was presented by Secretary General for Greeks Abroad and Public Diplomacy, Professor Ioannis Chrysoulakis.

Staellinika is constantly growing to meet the needs of students and teachers, and the platform has already exceeded 2 million visits, and has 35,000 registered users.
