Description

CALENDAR DESCRIPTION:

This course introduces students to microdevices and systems with applications in biology, chemistry, and medicine. Topics include microfabrication techniques of biocompatible materials including polymers; microfluidic theory and components; electro-osmotic flow and separation techniques; system integration; and a selection of key applications including micro total analysis systems, cell and tissue applications, implantable/transdermal devices, biosensors, and biotechnology (PCR, DNA chips).
