Spring Dinner and Annual General Meeting

April 22, 1999

The Association's Spring Dinner will be held in the Diamond University Club on Thursday, April 22, 1999, immediately following the Association's Annual General Meeting. 

Program
 

  • 5:00 pm: Cocktail Hour (no-host bar) for members and guests. 
  • 6:00-6:45 pm: Annual General Meeting and Election of Board (members only). (SeeAgenda below.) 
  • 7:00 pm: Spring Dinner for members and guests.

Cost of dinner 

  • $28.00 per person, includes gratuity and tax.

Reservations for dinner 

  • By April 15, please phone ■■■-■■■■ (9:00 am to 9:00 pm) or send an email note. 

    The fee for dinner will be collected at the door. Please remember that we can accept only cash or cheques (payable to the SFU Retirees Association). Since the Association has to pay in advance for all reservations made, your reservation should be regarded as a firm personal financial commitment. Many thanks. 

Parking 

  • Nothing has changed. You still have to get your parking permit from the Diamond Club as you arrive. There will be limited parking immediately outside the club.ORANGE CONES DENOTE PARKING SPACES FOR THOSE WHO HAVE SPECIAL NEEDS. There is an abundance of parking space just east of the Club, in PARKING LOT C.

Agenda for the General Meeting 

The purpose of this meeting will be the presentation of the Annual Report, the presentation of the Financial Report, and the Election of the next Executive Board of SFURA. The latter will be a "declaration of election by acclamation" of the SFURA members who have been nominated by the Nominating Committee.

  2.  Minutes of the General Meeting of Oct, 20, 1998. 
  3.  Business Arising from the Minutes. 
  4. Annual Report 
  5. Financial Report. (June 17, 1998 - March 31, 1999) 
  6. Election of the SFURA (1999-2000) Board. 
  7. Other Reports from Members of the Board. 
  8. Any Other Business.

The next Meeting of Members will be at the call of the President. The next Annual General Meeting will be in April, May or June 2000, to be determined by the Executive Board.
