SFURA Annual General Meeting and Spring Dinner

The Association's Spring Dinner will be held in the Eagle Creek Restaurant, at the Burnaby Mountain Golf Course (see directions) on Wednesday, May 8, 2002, immediately following the Association's Annual General Meeting.

PROGRAM

  • 5:45 pm.  Cocktail Hour (no-host bar) for members and guests.
  • 6:15 pm.  Members only – Annual General Meeting (see Agenda below); and Election of Executive Board (see Slate of Candidates).
  • 6:45 pm (time approximate).  Sit-down dinner for members and guests.
  • After-dinner Speaker.  Michael Geller, President of the Burnaby Mountain Community Corporation.

COST OF DINNER

  • $26.00 per person, includes gratuity and tax.

MENU

  • Choice, by pre-arrangement: Sirloin Beef, Fillet Sockeye Salmon, Chicken, or Vegetarian. You must specify your preference(s) when you make your reservation.

RESERVATIONS FOR DINNER

  • Reservations must be received by Monday, April 29. Please mail cheque ($26.00/person) to SFU Retirees Association, c/o Margaret Jones, Treasurer, Simon Fraser University, Burnaby, BC, V5A 1S6. Be sure to indicate your preferred entrée: meat, fish, chicken, or vegetarian.

PARKING

  • There is a large parking lot for the restaurant and golf course.

  2. Minutes of the Annual General Meeting of May 1, 2001.
  3. Business Arising from the Minutes.
  4. President's Annual Report.
  5. Treasurer's Annual Report.

  7. Other Business.

The next Meeting of Members will be at the call of the President. The next Annual General Meeting will be in April, May or June 2003, to be determined by the Executive Board.

REMEMBER: Reservations and payment MUST be received by Monday, April 29!

Directions to the Eagle Creek Restaurant at the Burnaby Mountain Golf Course:

  • Get yourself to the traffic light at the foot of the Burnaby Mountain Parkway (west side of Burnaby Mountain).
  • Turn south on Duthie.
  • Proceed along Duthie till you pass the traffic signal at Curtis.
  • Turn left (east) at Greystone Drive (viz. the first street on the left, past Curtis).
  • Proceed east along Greystone to the first stop sign (at Burnwood Drive).
  • Turn right (south) on Burnwood Drive.
  • The entrance to the Golf Club is the first street to the left (east).
  • Follow the tree-lined entrance street to its end which is a large parking lot in front of the clubhouse and Eagle Creek Restaurant.
