Afternoon Free Reception for All Members and their Partners

No, we are not gathering to commemorate Julius Caesar's assassination (as shown on left) at the hands of Marcus Brutus and several others.

We are gathering to enjoy one another's company, to hail the coming of spring, and to express pleasure at having – once again – pretty much escaped winter in the lower mainland.

Togas permitted, but not required.

Place: Eagle Creek Banquet Room – at Burnaby Mountain Golf Course
Date: Wednesday, March 10, 2004 (i.e. five days BEFORE the Ides of March).
Time: 2:00 to 4:00 PM
Preregistration:  Because we have to inform Eagle Creek Restaurant how many persons will be attending, you MUST preregister with Margaret Jones by FRIDAY, MARCH 5:
Eligibility:  Only fully-paid members and their partners who have pre-registered may attend.
Comestibles:
  • Complimentary light refreshments. (NOT a meal.)
  • A ticket at the door on checking-in entitles you to one free drink.
  • No-host bar.
Parking: Lots of free parking
Directions:
  • Get yourself to the traffic light at the foot of the Burnaby Mountain Parkway (west side of Burnaby Mountain).
  • Turn south on Duthie.
  • Proceed along Duthie till you pass the traffic signal at Curtis.
  • Turn left (east) at Greystone Drive (viz. the first street on the left, past Curtis).
  • Proceed east along Greystone to the first stop sign (at Burnwood Drive).
  • Turn right (south) on Burnwood Drive.
  • The entrance to the Golf Club is the first street to the left (east).
  • Follow the tree-lined entrance street to its end which is a large parking lot in front of the clubhouse and Eagle Creek Restaurant.
  • As you walk toward the restaurant, follow the path around the right of the building, and proceed to the double-wide glass entrance at the southwest corner.
