Bhutan is a tiny Himalayan Kingdom with a tradition of Tibetan Buddhism and a King who has declared the Gross National Happiness Index to be more important that the GDP. Prof. Bowman's talk will describe a recent visit there, with pictures.
Marilyn Bowman retired from the SFU Department of Psychology in 2005 and has been a busy traveller ever since, mostly to regions in Central Asia. Her paintings have been exhibited in several galleries. She was President of SFURA in 2011.
This is the third in the Spring 2014 SFURA seminar series and will take place at 11:30 a.m. in the Halpern Centre.  All members of the SFU community are welcome to attend these events. The talks are free and no registration is required.
