SPEAKER: Madeline Angus

ABSTRACT: This course is an introduction into the world of 3D, including working with 3D scans, basic 3D modelling and how to use the printer. It is a hands-on introductory course on 3D Printing and Design. Learners can expect to obtain a basic understanding of using a 3D Printer from hardware to software basics.


BIO:
Madeline Angus is a fourth and final year student of Biomedical Physiology here at SFU.  Two summers ago she got the opportunity to work with Dr. Nabyl Merbouh in 3D printing. They developed arm casts, as well as casts and braces for various athletic injuries. They worked with 3D printers and 3D scanners researching possible clinical and rehab applications of 3D printing. Madeline is planning to apply for Medical School next fall.
