STT-Kanji and Japanese Calligraphy JAPN 211 (2)

While learning basic Japanese calligraphy techniques, students develop kanji knowledge, including stroke order and precise shapes of kanji. Approximately 170 kanji are introduced. This course helps students build a strong foundation in kanji, benefiting them as they advance to 300-level Japanese courses, where more complex vocabulary is introduced using kanji. Prerequisite: JAPN 100 and/or Corequisite: JAPN 110.
