FASS One Surrey

FASS One is a first-year option offered by the SFU Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences (FASS) at the Surrey campus. Designed specifically to connect first-year students with peers as well as professors, the FASS One program offers priority course enrollment in FASS courses at Surrey, weekly mentoring sessions, dedicated academic advising, and a team of peer mentors to support the transition from high school to a university setting.

In their first year, arts and social sciences students can study full-time at the Surrey campus over two terms, completing at least three SFU courses each term. Students will also complete several of their WQB requirements, including the lower division writing requirements and six units in designated breadth courses (three units each in breadth-humanities and breadth-social sciences courses).
