Description
The Course is designed to emphasize the basic conceptual foundations
of modern microeconomics, and to present practical examples of
applications. Topics to be covered include Consumer Theory, Production
and Costs, Market Structures, and General Equilibrium.
Prerequisite:
The Course material demands knowledge of basic linear algebra
and Elementary Calculus. Alpha Chiang's Mathematics for
Economists 3rd Ed. is a good reference.

Grades
The final grade for the course will be based on a 2-hr midterm exam
on the Thursday of Week 7 (35%), weekly assignments (15%), and a final
examination (50%).

Assignments are included in the Course Outline. Assignments are due
each week in tutorials.

The Review questions and Sample exams that follow are in "pdf" format so you will need
Adobe Acrobat Reader to be able to read the files. Almost all the computers on campus
have the Acrobat Reader. You may download
the Reader if you want it on your home computer.
