Investment Areas

We invest in a broad range of projects aimed to establish British Columbia as a global leader in agritech and agrifood innovation.

Projects will be considered from all areas relating to agri-production, agri-processing and agri-technology and must focus on one of the following targets:

Strengthening food security and local food systems.
Advancing and adopting Indigenous knowledge for economic development and food security.
Supporting the reduction of greenhouse gases from the agriculture and food sectors to mitigate and adapt to climate change and net zero emission targets.
Managing plant health and disease management.
Utilizing innovative technology to alleviate labour shortage.
Supporting diversifying domestic and international markets.
Supporting the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in agricultural policies.
Supporting collaboration across post-secondary institutions to deepen the knowledge base and talent pool for agriculture innovation.
