Mental Health Teletriage Evaluation
May 2016 – June 2017
This project will involve conducting an evaluation of an innovative mental health teletriage program. The service is a collaborative program between St. Paul's Hospital and the Vancouver Police Department. Police will use a two-way video connection to access mental health staff at the St. Paul’s Hospital Acute Behavioral Stabilization Unit (ABSU). The goal of the program is to enhance access to information to support effective and efficient triage of patients experiencing a mental health crises. CARMHA has been contracted to conduct the formative evaluation of the program.
