Biography

Braden is a geophysicist with research interests in volcanic phenomena, source location methods, and monitoring systems. His postdoctoral research at SFU entailed building low-cost monitoring networks for mass flows (e.g. debris flows, rock falls, landslides, etc.) in the Sea-to-Sky corridor, estimating lahar dynamics and source migration, using tomography to discover depth of mush zones on Öræfajökull, and working with industrial geothermal partners on Mount Meager.
