Michelle Hoar Appointed New Dialogue Fellow
Congratulations to Michelle Hoar who was recently appointed a Dialogue Fellow here at the SFU Morris J. Wosk Centre for Dialogue.
We are thrilled to announce and celebrate yet another milestone within our organization – the appointment of Michelle Hoar to Dialogue Fellow.
Dialogue Fellows partner with the Centre for Dialogue to lead initiatives that address issues of fundamental significance to our communities. Their appointment reflects distinguished achievements in advancing the Centre’s mission to increase mutual understanding and advance positive change through dialogue and engagement in their fields.
This appointment not only signifies personal growth but also showcases Michelle's unwavering commitment and outstanding contributions to our organization.
Michelle's journey with the Centre has been nothing short of remarkable. From her time as co-founder and Business Director of The Tyee - when she built long-term media partnerships with SFU Centre for Dialogue and Public Square in particular (2003-2016) - to her time as a student in the Certificate in Dialogue and Civic Engagement (2016/17), to her involvement alongside other colleagues and partners in launching Hey Neighbour Collective at the Centre in 2019, Michelle has consistently demonstrated dedication, innovation, and a tireless work ethic. Her journey has consistently exemplified qualities that embody the Centre's values.
As Michelle embarks on this new chapter, we eagerly anticipate the continued growth and positive influence that she and her colleagues at Hey Neighbour – and the Collective’s broad multi-sector group of partner organizations - will bring to our team. We hope this serves as inspiration, reminding us all of the positive impact that dedication, passion, and leadership can have on our shared goals.
Congratulations Michelle – we look forward to more collaboration and innovation that you and your team bring to the Centre for Dialogue.
