DIALOGUE FELLOW

Elodie is a doctoral candidate in the political science department at SFU. As an engagement, dialogue, and facilitation practitioner with over 18 years of experience, Elodie was involved in co-designing and facilitating many large-scale citizen and community engagements, including Canada’s World, the National Reconciliation Gatherings, the Citizens' Dialogues on Canada’s Energy Future,  and the guided dialogues for the National Inquiry into Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Girls.

She was the lead researcher on inclusion in Open Government for the Canadian Government, and a peer-reviewer for its 4th Open Government Plan. As manager of knowledge and practice at the Morris J. Wosk Centre for Dialogue at Simon Fraser University, she co-led the development of the award-winning guide Beyond Inclusion: Equity in Public Engagement. She has been an observer at the UNFCCC COP processes since 2015, where she engages with governments and civil society on environmental democracy and climate diplomacy.

She currently teaches in the Association of Pacific Rim Universities'  SDGs for Global Citizenship program, as well as in SFU's Lifelong Learning Certificate Program in Dialogue and Civic Engagement. She continues to provide consulting services to different levels of government on deliberative citizen engagement processes and climate community engagement.

She co-convenes the Vancouver Climate Day in partnership with the Morris J. Wosk Centre for Dialogue.
