- Member, Steering Committee, Burnaby Mountain College: Organization of interdisciplinary conversations and dinner gatherings for graduate students and faculty with visiting scholars and President’s Faculty Talk presenters (2010-current)
- Founding Director: Initiated and helped design for the Foundations of Academic Literacy program in the Faculty of Education; the Institute for the Study of Teaching and Learning in the Disciplines (a Schedule B university centre, with Cheryl Amundsen) (2007-2008)
- Member, University Curriculum Implementation Task Force: Planning university-wide changes in admissions and graduation requirements; working with Faculty of Education on implementation of new requirements (January 2003–September 2006)
