Engineering Physics

SFU’s Engineering Physics option introduces students to a unique blend of science, mathematics, engineering design and practice as well as computer skills – all combined with a strong focus on theoretical and applied physics. A challenging program, it was designed to build on the strengths of the School of Engineering Science and the Physics Department and it focuses on optics, opto-electronics, advanced semiconductor devices and microelectronics.

About This Option

By undertaking this option, students are introduced to the fundamentals as well as the wider applications of engineering and physics. A strong academic foundation for advanced education as well as opportunities for career growth, concept development, mobility and flexibility are the cornerstones of this program option.
