The Engineers Without Borders (EWB) Simon Fraser University Chapter is holding its annual fundraising event, Pie Day!

Pie Day is an entertaining event where students buy raffle tickets for an opportunity to “pie” their professors. This year’s Pie Day will take place on March 14th, from 3:30pm to 4:30pm in the Surrey Centre Plaza. EWB SFU is currently raising funds for our Junior Fellowship Program.

Raffle tickets sell for 5 for $5 or an arm’s length for $10. Each ticket is an opportunity to throw a whipped cream pie at the professor of your choice (granted that they’ve agreed to be on the list of those to be pied)!

The Junior Fellowship Program gives EWB members the opportunity to work overseas with our venture partners and gain firsthand experience in international development while cultivating their leadership skills. This program creates a lasting impact in communities in Africa, as well as in Canada. By talking about what they learned and experienced with people here in Canada, the Junior Fellows play an integral role in raising awareness about the urgent need for development overseas.

Come out and make Pie Day one of our most successful events to date!
