Explore a variety of innovative workshops, clubs and summer camps through our outreach programs at the Surrey Campus.
Open to grades K-12, our programs offer exciting opportunities to dive into science and technology. Programs strive to engage youth in hands-on STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art & Design, Mathematics) activities, building measurable skills and improving self-confidence. Summer camps, weekend clubs, online workshops and resources for teachers to support learning are available.
Our faculty offers a wide range of computing science, software systems and engineering courses at SFU Surrey. All courses for Mechatronic Systems Engineering (MSE), Sustainable Energy Engineering (SEE) and Software Systems (SOSY) are available at the Surrey campus.
SFU Surrey Centre Building (SRYC)
SRYC is home to the School of Mechatronic Systems Engineering and houses the Smart Manufacturing Hub, an Industry 4.0 training system that simulates a highly automated smart factory. Located in the heart of Surrey’s city centre, the university’s first Surrey campus building is a vibrant hub for academic, research and community engagement initiatives.
SFU Surrey Engineering Building (SRYE)
SRYE is home to the School of Sustainable Energy Engineering, an interdisciplinary program that is the first of its kind in Western Canada. This newest LEED® Gold Certified building features sustainable design elements and serves as a living lab for student projects. Conveniently located near SkyTrain and transit, it sits across from the SRYC building and future home of the School of Medicine.
