New eBrain Centre to be created on SFU Surrey campus

Mechatronic systems engineering professor, and Chair in Technology Innovations for Youth Addiction Recovery and Mental Health, Faranak Farzan is one of three SFU recipients of the Canada Foundation for Innovation (CFI) John R. Evans Leaders Fund. Farzan will use the $250,000 to develop a new eBrain Centre to help diagnose and treat youth mental health and addiction.

“A unique function of the eBrain Centre is that it will integrate research and discovery between major stakeholders, including university, hospital, health policy makers, industry, and community,” says Farzan.
