Mechatronics students amongst winners in the 2022 FAS Three Minute Thesis competition

For this year’s Faculty of Applied Sciences (FAS) heat of SFU’s Three Minute Thesis competition, video presentations were posted online for public viewing. Judges reviewed and scored each video submission, while the public was invited to vote for their favourite presentation for the People’s Choice Award.
Two mechatronic students received prizes for their presentations in this annual competition. Adlin Alwyn received the runner-up prize for her presentation, “Does a Robot Waving at You on the Beach Help Earth?” and Afagh Mohagheghi received the People’s Choice Award for her presentation on “Intelligent Lighting and Monitoring Systems for Urban Horticulture.”
