Uma is the Deputy Functional Chief Engineer – Workforce Strategy Leader for Enterprise Systems Engineering at The Boeing Company.  In this role, Uma leads all aspects of developing the Systems Engineering workforce to meet the technical, functional, business and program needs across the company.  The workforce leadership role spans the whole lifecycle from attracting and acquiring talent, to training, developing and growing engineers, to retaining and promoting them strategically to meet business needs and create a best in class engineering team around the world supporting commercial, defense, space, services and corporate divisions.  Uma is also serving as the Deputy Company Focal for INCOSE (International Council on Systems Engineering).  Previously, Uma was a senior engineering leader on multiple Boeing Commercial Airplanes in Systems, Integration, and Certification Engineering roles in Seattle, WA.  Uma has a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County, and a Master of Science in Information Management from the University of Washington.
