Submit Your Abstract

We invite postdocs to submit their research, which can be a proposal, in progress or completed work. We seek submissions from all areas of research activity, including academia and industry. Please provide an abstract summary of your research in clear, plain language. It should be written in nontechnical terms that can be clearly understood by reviewers/readers with various areas of expertise (i.e., minimal academic terminology and references to methodology). Using simple terms, briefly describe the nature of the work. Indicate why and to whom the research is essential, the outcomes, and how your field will benefit.

Important Dates

  • Submission deadline: Monday, February 12, 2024
  • Notification: Friday, February 16, 2024

You may choose to submit an abstract for one or more of the following:

  • Oral Presentation: authors will have 8 minutes to present their research, plus 2 minutes for questions.
  • Poster: The authors will present their poster during coffee and lunch. The typical poster size recommended is a maximum of 1m by 1m.
  • Creative Work: The authors will present their prototype, device, system, performance, exhibit, or installation during the coffee break and lunch. Due to space limitations, we may be unable to accommodate creative works that require larger than 3m by 3m of space.

  • originality: addresses the presence of new ideas or approaches
significance: addresses the contribution to its respective field and the benefits others can gain from it
  • quality: addresses high standards of formal and/or conceptual quality
  • *creative work will also be evaluated for feasibility: is the work technically and logistically feasible for the event?
