Message from the President: Thank You!

December 07, 2023

As we enter final exams and the last stretch of the fall term, we mark the end of another year at SFU. We’ve had a lot of successes this year, but we have also experienced many challenges together—much is changing at SFU and in the world. I know I will be taking some time during the holidays to reflect on the year behind us.

What hasn’t changed, though, is the strength and kindness that can be found in community, and particularly in our community at SFU. Even during difficult times, I have seen people come together to take care of each other in ways big and small. Thanks to each of you for this important work.

Over the next few weeks, I hope you will be setting out of office messages and shutting down your computers to take a much-needed break. It was a busy year at SFU and we couldn’t have done it without you. Wishing you a restful holiday season, with lots of time spent on self-care and connecting with loved ones.

Thank you for everything, and see you in the new year.
