Location
Our unit is located on the Second Floor (room 2305), of Simon Fraser University’s Goldcorp Centre for the Arts (GCA), as part of the historic Woodward’s mixed-use redevelopment (149 West Hastings Street, Vancouver, BC).
The Woodward’s redevelopment comprises a full city block and is located between Abbott Street and Cambie Street, with Hastings Street to the South and Cordova Street to the North.
The main entrance to Goldcorp Centre for the Arts is located in the Cordova Courtyard on the North side of the building, near the corner of Cambie Street and Cordova Street. The building is also accessible via the doors on the South side of the building on Hastings Street (in the block between Cambie Street and Abbott Street).
Several EasyPark lots are located near Goldcorp Centre for the Arts (click the links below for daily rates and directions for each lot):
- Lot 31 - 160 Water Street - directly north of Goldcorp Centre for the Arts, entrance on water street
- Lot 126 - 151 West Cordova Street - also directly north of Goldcorp Centre for the Arts, entrance on Cordova Street
- Lot 2 - 150 West Pender - lot on Pender and Cambie, which is only a few minutes’ walk from Goldcorp Centre for the Arts
Please note that other parking options are available around Goldcorp Centre for the Arts, including street parking and other parking lots.
Accessing the GCA Loading Bay
There are 2 stalls allocated for GCA use in the Woodwards Developement loading bay, below the building.
*Please note: the loading bay stall needs to be reserved in advance. Please ensure this has been arranged.
Loading Bay Access directions:
- Approach eastbound on Cordova Street.
- After passing Cambie Street, there is a laneway turnoff to the right (just past the Cambie bar).
- At the end of the laneway will be an open gate.
- Drive through the gate and follow the ramp down one level and through another gate.
- At the end of the ramp there will be a parking area to your left with a large SFU logo on the wall.
- Park in the stall marked with the SFU logo as opposed to the one beside it closer to the door.
Loading Bay Access Hours:
- The inner gate is open Monday to Friday 6:00am-6:00pm, Saturday 6:00am-4:00pm, and is closed Sunday.
- Any access outside of these hours requires a key fob available from SFU’s 24hr security desk.
- The outer gate is open every day 6:00am-9:00pm and can be opened by the same fob.
Loading Bay Access Notes:
- Maximum height for a vehicle in the loading bay is 14’ 8”.
- Dimensions of doors between loading bay and interior of building are 92” wide x 94” high.
- The stall is outfitted with an 8’ deep x 5’ wide lift gate that can go to a max height of 5’.
