This summer, the School of Sustainable Energy Engineering partnered with Surrey Schools to co-host a summer learning program for students in grades 10-12. During the four-week course, the class explored topics in science, engineering and technology. The students were introduced to the themes of energy storage and environmental science, learning its use and what impact they have on our society. The lab component of this program was hosted at SFU Surrey Campus, where the class participated in hands-on workshops. This collaboration provided students with the opportunity to meet with peers who share similar interests and gain exposure to the university environment as they begin their journey to post-secondary education.
