Sexual Violence Support & Prevention Outreach Volunteer

Position Overview:

We are seeking compassionate and dedicated volunteers to join our outreach team. As a Volunteer Outreach Advocate, you will play an important role in raising awareness about the services, supports and resources offered by the Sexual Violence Support & Prevention Office, and helping to educate the campus community through various campaigns and initiatives. This volunteer opportunity is recognized on the Co-Curricular Record (CCR), the official university document that tracks your co-curricular involvement at SFU.


Responsibilities:

  • Conduct outreach activities on campus (Surrey, Vancouver or Burnaby) to raise awareness about sexualized violence and available resources and support.
  • Assist in executing events and education campaigns.
  • Distribute informational materials among student groups and departments.
  • Collaborate with staff and other volunteers to enhance outreach efforts.
