Biography

My MA research consists of a chaîne opératoire documentation of sua (beer) production in a traditional, non-mechanized rural setting in Tigray, northern Ethiopia to gain insights on the importance of beer in traditional subsistence settings, which may be applied to archaeological interpretations.

I am a continuing researcher for Raise Your Glass To The Past, an experimental archaeology project that stemmed from my BA research in Nanaimo, BC. Further information about our project can be found here: https://raiseyourglasstothepast.ca/ and our beers can be found at Loveshack Libations in Qualicum Beach: http://www.loveshacklibations.com/
