REPAIR OF ARMS AND SHOULDERS more  -->

Several of the dolls required repair to arms and shoulders.  I repaired these tears using a latter stitch and matching thread.  In the case of the bull matador I made several stitches through the body and across to the other arm to better secure both arms. I realized that this damage was most likely caused by the use of improper doll stands.  The stands most likely placed too much weight on the arms by suspending the doll by their arms. The stand may also been too wide forcing the arms away from the body which could have caused the damage. I noted this damage and kept it in mind when I designed the doll stands for my display.
