Exercise is Medicine

Are you interested in Medicine? Passionate about exercise?

Become a part of the Exercise is Medicine movement by joining the SFU chapter, the very first in the Lower Mainland! We are recruiting students from all backgrounds who are passionate about helping people live healthier lives through exercise. Club members will have the opportunity to interact as volunteers with sports medicine physicians at a day long conference in late September, as well as at other events throughout the year.

If you are interested in getting involved, please email us at sfu.eim@gmail.com and follow us on twitter @SFU_EIM.

Exercise is Medicine (EIM) originated with the American College of Sports Medicine and the Canadian Society for Exercise Physiology and a campus-focused version has spread to several universities and colleges across Canada. The core mission of the program is to encourage students and faculty to incorporate physical activity and exercise into their daily life with the benefit that these same lifestyle choices can improve the quality of life for those struggling with physical or mental illness.
