Collective Impact Phase 1 Study

2015

Collective Impact (CI) is a methodology that aims to build progress through the use of a long term, collaborative approach. The Collective Impact Phase 1 project will involve working with a wide group of partners and stakeholders to help shift the Vancouver MH&A system from a continual crisis response to improvements in coordination, integration, planning and data driven decision making. The goal of Phase 1 is to closely assess the readiness of MH&A service systems to adopt a CI approach. Phase 1 will be undertaken over 8 months, culminating in the determination of the readiness of the MH&A sector to establish a 3-5 year CI initiative by the projects Strategic Advisory Group.

This project is jointly conducted by The Bloom Group (TBG), who was funded by Vancouver Coastal Health, the City of Vancouver, the Vancouver Foundation and Pacific Blue Cross to undertake Phase 1. The Bloom Group is a community based organization in Vancouver’s Downtown Eastside providing housing, health and social services to vulnerable people.
