Super Smash Bros. for Wii U

- Bracket will be capped at 64 participants
- Double elimination format will be used
- Venue fee is $5/SFU Student and $10/Non-SFU Student
- Tournament entry fee is $5
- Tournament will take place on Sunday September 13th
- Participants are expected to bring their own controller
- Consoles will be provided, if you can provide a console please e-mail the admins to let them know and have entry fees waived

Smash for Wii U ruleset

- 2 Stock
- 6 Minutes
- All items set to OFF
- Custom moves and equipment set to OFF
- Default console Miis may be used with any moveset
- Sets are best 2 out of 3, with Winner's finals, Loser's finals, and Grand finals being best 3 out of 5
- All DLC characters are legal
- Games must be played on the most current update of the game available as of the tournament date

Set procedure:
- Players each select their character for game one (double blind pick may be requested)
- Players strike stages from the stage list in a 1-2-2-1 pattern until only one stage remains
- Rock paper scissors may be used to determine who strikes last
- Game 1 is played on the remaining stage
- After each game, the winner is allowed to announce 1 stage to ban from the stage list
- Loser picks from the remaining legal stages
- Winner then selects their character for the next game, followed by loser selecting their character
- DSR is NOT in effect

- Battlefield
- Smashville
- Final Destination
- Town and City
- Dreamland 64
- Lylat Cruise
- Duck Hunt

Additional rules:
- Gentleman's clause: Any stage may be played on if both players agree to it
- Wii U gamepad may not be used as a controller. All other controllers are legal
- Players using wireless controllers must remove the batteries or desync the controller between sets
