Attend ToxTalks!

EVENT:  Saturday, March 7th, 2020

 

DEADLINES:

  • Registration to attend deadline: March 2, 2020.
  • Early abstract submission poster and presentation (via email) deadline: February 14, 2020.
    • Early poster submissions may be eligible for poster printing reimbursement (please contact if needed).
  • Late abstract submission poster and presentation deadline: February 25, 2020.

Presentation Format:
Graduate students may choose between two different presentation format options when registering for ToxTalks Symposium.

  • Option 1: A shorter 5 minute presentation (plus 2 minutes for questions).
    A great option for those wanting to present research proposal.

  • Option 2: A longer 15 minute presentation (plus 5 minutes for questions).  
    A great option for those wanting to present research results.
  • Option 3: A poster.  
    A great option for those wanting to present research results.

Sessions: To accommodate as many interested presenters as possible, two concurrent sessions in different rooms may be offered. In addition, we will do our best to group presentations into sessions by similar categories (e.g., toxicokinetics/dynamics, epidemiology, ecological risk assessment, etc).

ABSTRACT SUBMISSION GUIDELINES

Please submit a short (less than 250 words) description of your presentation directly to toxtalks.sfu@gmail.com by February 25th, in addition to registering through the Eventzilla link below. Please indicate your preference for either 5 or 15 minute presentation when submitting your abstract. All abstracts submitted by the deadline will be evaluated for inclusion in the event program.  We will do our best to include as many student presenters into the schedule as possible. However, abstracts submitted after this date will be considered on a first-come-first-serve basis, pending space availability.


POSTER GUIDELINES

  • The poster maximum size should be 0.9 m (width) x 1.2 m (height).
  • The title and authors must be the same and in the same order as in the abstract
  • The poster must contain the following sequence: Title, Author, Institution, Introduction, Methods, Results, Discussion, Conclusions, Financial acknowledgments (if it is the case), References.
