The CRIE team and Catherine Price, Diretor of the Office of International Education (Faculty of Education), met with Dr Rogério Moura (UNICAMP, Brazil) to discuss possible partnerships and strenghten the Centre's network of connections in Brazil.

Meeting with guests from School of Education, Southwest University of China
Dr. Kumari Beck and Olivia Zhihua Zhang, the Co-Director and Coordinator of the CRIE, met with four guests from School of Education, Southwest University of China at Burnaby Campus on Friday, April 4, 2014. Dr. Beck introduced the Center and the research projects conducted on international education to the four guests. Ms. Catherine Price, Director of the Office of International Education at Faculty of Education, was also present and made a brief introduction to the international programs that FoE is offering. The Deputy Dean of the School of Education, Dr. Muhua Wang, expressed their hope to cooperate with CRIE in curriculum design and course development, and to seek opportunities in joint research and publications. They also showed interest in the short-term international programs and Teaching English as a Second/Foreign Language (TESFL) M.ED Program at Faculty of Education. Both parties are optimistic about the potential cooperation between CRIE and School of Education of Southwest University in the near future.
