Research Interests

My current program of research is in Coalition and reparative politics in university contexts. This initiative extends on earlier doctoral research on coalition building for First Nations graduate students and subsequent research, which argues that the university classroom can be a site for coalition building practices in First Nations education.

This work is inextricably linked to anti-oppression/anti-racism education and informs my work in pre-service teacher pedagogy where a goal is to develop critical literacy skills through the strategic use of literary genres, among other literature. My research is also informed by Indigenous and critical race feminisms.
