Research Interests

Dr. Daniel Laitsch's primary research area is encompassed within the concept of research utilization. As a scholar in this area he is interested in exploring the use of research generally, as well as applying research to inform policy and practice.

As such, Dr. Laitsch's work follows three strands: 1) scholarship examining the use of research by teachers (specifically the barriers and facilitators to such use); 2) applications of research to inform policy and practice (particularly through research syntheses); and 3) policy analysis (analysis and critique of current education policies using a research informed framework).
