Join us in the EGSA Facebook group!
The EGSA acknowledges that we are situated on the unceded traditional territories of the Coast Salish people: the Xʷməθkwəy̓əm (Musqueam), the Sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish), and the Səl̓ílwətaʔ (Tsleil-Waututh) nations.
The EGSA is run by members of the education graduate student community and provides a number of services to support education graduate students. The EGSA also provides student representation to the faculty, advocating for student needs and concerns. We meet once a month and all education graduate students are welcome!
How do we become critical allies and supporters of youth, without becoming their critics? Our futures are determined by our desire to understand and work authentically with youth as educators, community workers, and activists. In order to become facilitators and supporters of our youth, it is essential to discuss the history and culture of youth and to contextualize the worth of an empowered youth population.
