Working to care? Eldercare workers in vancouver

There is increasing need for workers in the eldercare sector – community health workers, home support workers, residential care aides, in-home caregivers, and nursing home attendants. Workers in these jobs provide vital care services to our aging population. Yet working conditions, job security, scheduling and other issues make it ‘hard work to care’. This workshop provided a forum for workers and advocates to share experiences in the sector and discuss priorities for change
