We are already well into July! Can you believe it?! Here’s a recap of some of the exciting events that took place last month at the SNF Centre for Hellenic Studies!

Prime Minister of Greece Kyriakos Mitsotakis speaks with StaEllinika

A few weeks ago, the Prime Minister of Greece Kyriakos Mitsotakis and government officials participated in a video conference with the Director of the SNF Centre for Hellenic Studies at Simon Fraser University, Dr. Dimitris Krallis, staff working on the StaEllinika initiative, as well as children and teachers from five continents currently using StaEllinika to learn and teach Greek history, mythology, and language! Political Animals event success & recordings

Our online adaption of this year’s Island Sessions seminars on the theme of Political Animals was well presented and attended! Thank you to everyone that tuned in to watch scholars, both experienced and up-and-comers, discuss a wide range of topics on different aspects of the political. MA student Neal Payne accepted to Cambridge

Last month we celebrated Neal Payne's acceptance into a PhD program at the University of Cambridge! Neal has been working on his MA under the supervision of Hellenic Studies Professor of Aegean and Mediterranean Societies and Cultures, Dr. Sabrina Higgins, for his research on the impact of Roman colonization on the British diet! StaEllinika releases new video for summer

Summer is here thanks to StaEllinika! The team at StaEllinika have recently released a new video for young Greek learners titled, “Chug Chug Goes the Boat”. A fun way to experience Greek summer virtually!
