Citizenship and Domestic Space

The domestic space and citizenship group is composed of 7 members,
including faculty, grad and undergrad students, community members, and an architect, with backgrounds in design, art, architecture and historic preservation.. The group is in the process of exploring neighbourhood domestic spaces in Vancouver in order to bring a local focus to dicussions of citizenship; the intentional is to develop a domestic discourse emerging from a voyeuristic exploration of local domestic spaces, readings and discussions of theorists and practitioners, and an engagement in local exhibits and workshops related to ideas of home and the domestic interior.The aim to produce a
collaborative collection of written texts as well as an installation.
Group members meet monthly at each other's domestic spaces.
