Charlie Davis at the seat of his bus on his last
day driving on run #07 on current route 8, 26 FE 03, retiring
from Metro after more than 30 years of driving trolleys and some
diesel buses for Metro. His Metro number was 648, now retired.
He drove the Twins, Pullmans, and the Brill 798 before they were
taken out of service. Since then he drove the AMGs and MANs in
regular service, and occasion one of the Bredas. I have known
Charlie since 1952 and have ridden several of his buses. I'm sure
he will miss driving them. Best of luck to you in your retirement.--Richard.
