Apple Mail
SFU Mail has two fully supported desktop applications, Outlook 2016 for PC and Mac. For optimal experience with Outlook desktop applications, we recommend connecting using the native Exchange Protocols (EWS or MAPI).
Any other third party desktop applications, such as Apple Mail and Thunderbird, will be partially supported.
Setup Information
1. On your machine, find the Apple Mail application and open it. Once open, a window will appear to choose a mail account provider. Select Microsoft Exchange and click Continue.
2. Enter your name and SFU credentials and click Sign In.
3. Select the applications that you would like to synchronize your SFU Mail account with, then click Done.
4. The application may take several minutes to initially synchronize the data from your SFU Mail account. Once the data is synchronized, the setup of Apple Mail is complete.
If you were using Apple Mail with SFU Connect, you will already have an account. Follow the steps below to add your new SFU Mail account. You may wish to delete the old SFU Connect account to avoid issues or confusion.
1. In Apple Mail, click Mail in the top left corner of your screen, then select Add Account...
2. Follow the Setup Instructions above from step 1.
