Global Address List
Outlook Web App
The Global Address List (GAL) is an email directory within SFU Mail containing all SFU staff members and sponsored accounts (students are excluded). Find the email address you are looking for by using the search bar in the People module, or when you type in the recipient fields in a new message window.
The instructions below are for the Outlook Web App (OWA).
Using a Desktop Application?
Composing a message
When you are composing a message, suggestions will appear both from the directory (GAL) and your own contacts as you type in the To, Cc, and Bcc fields. If you are not seeing these suggestions, try hitting the Enter key to search the directory and bring up the suggested addresses.
Searching the Global Address List
You can search the GAL (Directory) from the search bar within the People module. When you search within the People module you will be searching both your own contacts and the Directory by default. You can search just within the directory by selecting the Directory radio button in the navigation pane.
