About the workshop
Are you concerned about your own or others' video game habits? Do you worry that gaming might interfere with your personal or academic goals? Or are you interested in how healthy gaming practices could help manage or even improve mental health symptoms? Join us for a 2-hour workshop on healthy and unhealthy gaming to enhance your understanding of gaming and its effects on mental health.

- What is important about video games, and why should we think more about how we use them?
- Why does media literacy matter in public discussion of video games?
- What is “Problematic Gaming,” and what can I do if I worry about my or someone else’s gaming habits?

David is a Registered Clinical Counsellor holding a MA in counselling psychology from Adler University. His approach integrates emotion-focused, narrative, and cognitive-behavioural therapy, and he prioritizes offering a grounded and caring atmosphere emphasizing safety and empathy. David is passionate about suicide prevention, social justice, career and professional development concerns, and the use of role-playing games in therapy.
