What is CLIC?

CLIC is a grass-roots program that helps local community members build upon their leadership skills and confidence as change-makers. This program teaches participants how to navigate complicated challenges they are facing in their organizations, communities, and/or personal lives.

With no prerequisites but a desire for growth, CLIC provides an open, collaborative environment to build skills such as relationship-building, strategizing, critical thinking, and self-reflection. Guest speakers include content experts, community leaders, and city officials.

This program is made possible by the generous funding of Envision Financial, contributions from SFU Surrey and community support from the Surrey Poverty Reduction Coalition.

If you have any questions about eligibility ot the course in general, please get in touch with CLIC instructor Dr. Kathleen Burke.
