Welcome to Work Integrated Learning (WIL). At SFU, we've developed four amazing opportunities for students, employers, and the community alike to get involved with career planning and development tools; domestic and international co-operative education opportunities in every Faculty; volunteer and internship opportunities locally and abroad; and more recently the development of community-based learning opportunities. Overall, we provide the experiential complement to any academic career.

Career Services

Career Advisors and Career Peer Educators help students reach their goals through one-on-one advising, group workshops and career fairs. Career Services assists students with all their career planning needs, including identifying career options and career goals, work search strategies, resumes, cover letters, and interview tips.

Co-operative Education

Develop your skills, find a job and discover your passion - it doesn't take long for students to realize the value in joining Co-operative Education. By combining work and study terms, students apply new skills, gain valuable career-related work experience, and help pay for their education. With opportunities to work locally, nationally, and internationally, why not learn more?

Volunteer and Community-Bassed Learning

Volunteering and getting engaged in the community are excellent ways to meet interesting people, gain great experience, improve your skills, help the community, or further an important cause. If you're a student looking for opportunities, a community organization looking for some student energy, time and talent, or a faculty or staff member looking for resources, you are in the right place!
