Getting a Refund for Co-op

As part of enrollment into the SFU Co-operative Education program, every student who applies must pay the Co-operative Education application fee.

Students who would like to withdraw their application may inquire about getting a refund. The Co-operative Education application fee is only refundable within 14 business days of application, provided there has been no use of Co-op resources, including the Co-op Workshops and the Bridging Online Course. Otherwise, a refund will not be issued.

Please contact the Co-op Program you applied to about requesting a refund. Contact information can be found here.

If your request is beyond the 14 business days since your application, please complete the “Request for a Refund” form and submit it to the Work Integrated Learning (WIL) Central Office located in WMC 1390, Burnaby Campus by dropping it off in-person, or by emailing the completed refund request form to icooppa@sfu.ca

In exceptional circumstances, a request for a refund beyond the 14 business day period will be considered by the Director of WIL.  Written documentation to support the extenuating circumstances will be required. In no circumstances will refunds be considered beyond four (4) months of application. A response to a request for a refund will be sent by email, normally within 10 business days. Refunds will be credited to your SFU student account. No cash payments will be made.
