SFU APL Celebrated the 30th Anniversary, 1st Canadian Female Astronaut

January 2022.

**Thirty years ago, Dr. Roberta Bondar became Canada's first female astronaut and the world's first neurolgist in space when she launced aboard Space Shuttle Discovery.**

Dr. Bondar was Dr. Andrew Blaber’s postdoc supervisor and also a graduate of the University of Guelph. Congratulations! An accomplishment that continues to inspire future generations!
